i’m writing first thing in the morning because i had a thought based on two things i saw online last night and this morning. i didn’t want to forget, because i think it’ll be helpful.
my sister sent me this tiktok video last night, and it had me devastated. no one needs to mention it for it to be more true—but, the economy is terrible right now. if you’re feeling the pains of it, know that you’re not alone. you’re not failing. entrepreneurship was never promised to be easy. it’s a series of risks and challenges, and our job is to keep the faith, do the best we can with the resources we have, and keep persevering. my job? it’s to help give you those tools and resources.
i landed on a website this morning from an inquiry, and right away, i noticed things missing that are a major hindrance to booking clients.
right now, a lot of people are doing everything they can to drive traffic to their websites—boosting seo, running ads, etc.—to combat the slow season and bad economy.
all of that is great, but the effort will be meaningless if, when people get to your website, they don’t clearly know what you do or who you serve and you’re not guiding them to take action.
to illustrate this point, here are some brand bios and calls to action tailored for different professionals:
01 photographer
02 esthetician
03 female tax accountant for influencers
WHY THESE CHANGES MATTER
implementing clear brand bios and strategic calls to action are not just a good idea, they are essential if you want to convert website leads to bookings and sales.
without these two things, people will leave as fast as they came, and all your effort to boost traffic to your website will come up empty.
TAKE ACTION NOW (NOT LATER)
so, take an afternoon—audit your website, then make the appropriate changes. not explaining what you do? add that in. not leading people to action with ctas? add it in.
while you’re auditing your website, be honest with yourself. if you were a client or customer, would you be impressed with your website and buy from you? if not, i challenge you, take the extra step and update your website.
the longer your website goes without being fixed and without having strategy, the more money you are wasting and leaving on the table.
INVEST IN YOUR SUCCESS
it may feel like a stretch to invest a couple of hundred dollars into updating your website right now, but i promise—it’s one that will pay off. it’s an investment that will put money back in your pocket.
you want a website that works, not just exists on the internet. your website shouldn’t be just another checklist item; it should be your 24/7 salesperson, working hard to convert leads to sales. if it’s not doing that—it’s not working, and it’s time to change.
i can help you—whether with my showit website templates or doing it for you 😉 just let me know what you need.
if you’d like to chat it out, message me 🙂 we’ll set up a call and discuss your vision and the best course of action for you and your business.
