i put a phone charm on my phone last night and was not obsessed with how long the string was—my nitpicking self just couldn’t stand how stringy it looked.

so, at 12:19 am, when i should have been sound asleep, i had a brilliant idea: double-sided tape!

i got out of bed, dug through my drawers, and found what i needed. i cut a small piece of tape, then pulled the string up and taped it to the phone case. i slid my phone back in. in seconds, my problem was solved. my phone charm was now laying exactly how i wanted (& how i think it should have been made, but lol no one consulted me on this).

by 12:21 i was back in bed, satisfied with my work. i put my phone on my nightstand and went to sleep.

this morning, i couldn’t help but think how many times, as business owners, we need quick and easy solutions for the problems we have.

when we know that something isn’t “right,” if we want to keep our sanity and momentum, we need easy solutions to fix it right away.

• we don’t have time for hard.
• we don’t have energy for tedious.
• we don’t have capacity for things to linger on our to-do list.

we need something quick and easy so we can keep moving along. this applies also to crms, marketing tools, and, yes, even our websites.
