i don’t know if it’s me getting lazier or smarter, but i’ve been treating chatgpt like a co-worker lately instead of a robot.
i’ve been using it to brainstorm and collaborate, and if you haven’t found ways to use ai for your industry yet, you need to jump on that train. ai is here to stay, and knowing how to use it better than it knows itself will keep you ahead of the game.
but back to what i was saying—
i’ve been plugging long form content into ai and asking it to help me come up with headlines for marketing graphics. i asked for a sassy tone, and it delivered in ways i wasn’t expecting. one of its suggestions? “would you swipe right on your website?”
i started laughing so hard—so relevant! & so good!
but seriously, if you saw your website on an app and had the option to swipe right and move forward or swipe left and say goodbye, what would you do?
before we worked together, rachel’s site had a lot of blank space and wasn’t showcasing her photos well. the homepage was practically empty except for a one-sentence mission statement and a contact form. i had no idea who she served or what she offered.
now, after working together, her website is a solid 10. here’s what we did:
streamlined the navigation bar to make it user-friendly
implemented her brand colors to bring personality to the site
chose elegant, legible fonts that matched her work
added plenty of photos on the homepage to showcase her talent
clearly defined what she does and who she serves, making it easy for visitors to say, “this is exactly what i was looking for!”
made her galleries easy to access
simplified everything to one page by removing unnecessary sections
*p.s. you can steal this as a checklist to improve your own website! 😉
when you need something fixed, you need it fixed now—not six months from now. if your toilet is broken, you’re not waiting three weeks to call a plumber. you make that call now.
if we can make a call to a plumber asap, shouldn’t we do the same for our business—the thing that makes us money?
so, if you’re ready to swipe right on your website and take it from “meh” to must-have, head over to third story and grab the wilder template.
let’s create a website that’s a solid 10, just like rachel’s!
"Lindsey is the artist behind the website and all the design work for my brand. but, more importantly, she was the voice that jumped on a phone call with me and said 'you're the magic, linds. it's you.' and that call changed it all."
